Job Title: Manager of Surgical Oncology

Location: Austin, TX

Shift: Full-time, Days (10 Hours/Weekdays Only)

Shifts Per Week: 4

Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: Up to $130,000 annually

Job Overview:

You will ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care through oversight of daily operations and staffing in the surgical oncology department. You will manage the overall clinical and operational activities, ensure compliance with established policies, and hold staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Ensure superior clinical care by operationalizing evidence-based practices that enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Care Delivery: Ensure compliance with standards of care, and manage admissions and discharges to provide efficient, patient-centered care.
  • Team Coordination: Facilitate interdisciplinary care coordination and ensure appropriate staff with the required clinical competencies are assigned to meet patient needs.
  • Patient Experience: Provide leadership in maintaining an unparalleled patient experience. Instill accountability for delivering consistent, positive patient interactions.
  • Performance Improvement: Leverage feedback to benchmark performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies to elevate patient satisfaction.
  • Staff Management: Oversee staff scheduling, monitor productivity, and manage operating expenses, including the utilization of supplies and equipment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Oncology Chemo Certificate required.
  • Experience:
  • At least 1 year of healthcare leadership experience is required.
  • Strong background in oncology nursing preferred.
