Job Title: Mental Health Coordinator - Leavenworth, KS
Location: Leavenworth, KS
Schedule: 1st and 2nd shifts, 8-hour shifts including weekdays and weekends
1st shift: typically 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
2nd shift: typically 4:00 PM 12:00 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possibility to extend)
Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
Weekly Gross: $2,720


Job Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Coordinator for a full-time contract assignment in a correctional facility in Leavenworth, KS. This role involves planning and providing clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature to an incarcerated population. Candidates must be comfortable in secure environments and have an active Kansas license.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mental health screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and chart reviews
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on inmate needs
  • Provide counseling, psychological support, and crisis intervention
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress in medical records
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and procedures
  • Apply evidence-based therapeutic practices for a correctional population


Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related clinical field
  • Active, unrestricted LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license in Kansas
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in a similar position
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • U.S. Citizenship required for ICE clearance (expedited process available)
  • ICE Clearance Screening Form required with submission
  • Must reside 70+ miles away from the facility
  • Must be available to start within 34 weeks
  • Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays
  • No RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed during assignment


Preferred:

  • Valid drivers license
  • Experience in correctional or forensic mental health settings
  • Active AHA BLS certification
