Rate: $28.90 - $41.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift Type: Varied (3rd shift)
Shift Times: Full Time 12-hour shifts (7:00am-7:00pm or 7:00pm-7:00am) or 8-hour shifts (3:00pm-11:30pm or 11:00pm-7:30am)
Shift Differentials:
- 7am-3pm: Saturday & Sunday at $1.25 extra per hour
- 3pm-11pm: Monday Thursday at $2.00 extra per hour
- 3pm-11pm: Friday Sunday at $3.00 extra per hour
- 11pm-7am: Monday Thursday at $4.00 extra per hour
- 11pm-7am: Friday Sunday at $5.00 extra per hour
Sign-On Bonus: $8,000 - $12,000
On Call Requirements: May be required
Weekend Requirements: May be required
Role Overview:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for performing the nursing process as the foundation for patient care. You will provide direction and oversight to both licensed and non-licensed staff while ensuring high-quality patient care. This role emphasizes compassion, integrity, and excellence while working with diverse patient populations. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care and create a safe, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient care needs and develop a collaborative plan of care.
- Provide and coordinate nursing care with a focus on psychiatric patients.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and after-care needs.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Document and report patient information accurately according to policy.
- Monitor for and report any potential risks to patient safety.
- Act as a clinical leader, delegating tasks and coordinating staff assignments.
- Promote teamwork and continuous improvement within the care team.
- Provide spiritual, emotional, social, and physical support to patients.
- Uphold the mission and values of the organization by demonstrating integrity, stewardship, and professional excellence.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May function as a charge nurse and lead team members during shifts.
- May provide training and oversight to direct care staff.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Experience in psychiatric nursing or emergency department nursing is preferred.
- New graduates with relevant experience may be considered.
- Ability to work in a culturally inclusive environment and provide care to a diverse patient population.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills to collect, interpret, and report patient data.
- Ability to work in potentially adverse environments with emotional and physical stamina.
- May require a valid Michigan driver's license for job-related duties.
