Hours/Day: 8

Hourly Pay Rate: $33.26/hour - $49.88/hour

Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for providing optimal ultrasound exams and/or procedures in a safe and efficient manner, facilitating accurate physician diagnosis. The role involves working with a range of customers, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound procedures accurately and apply critical thinking skills in emergent situations.
  • Maintain accurate customer medical records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Utilize hospital and imaging computer systems effectively.
  • Interact professionally with physicians, co-workers, customers, and families.
  • Support Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) Vascular Lab in obtaining and maintaining IAC accreditation.
  • Interpret and present preliminary examination findings for critical cases.
  • Assist with quality assurance data collection and maintenance of procedure logs.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements related to job responsibilities.
  • Participate in professional development and maintain required clinical knowledge and credentials.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program in Sonography (Required).
  • Experience: 1-5 years of previous experience (Preferred).
  • Licensure/Certification:
  • RDMS Registered or Registry Eligible (Required within 24 months of hire).
  • BLS Certification (Required).
  • RVT Registered or Registry Eligible (For HVI Vascular Lab, required within 12 months of hire).

Certification Requirements:

  • ACLS
  • BLS

State License Requirements:

  • Minnesota
