Job Title: Sonographer II

Location: Coos Bay, OR

Shift Type: Varied

Hours: 8 hours/day, 80 hours per two-week pay period

Hourly Pay Rate: $42.00 - $63.00/hour (based on experience)

Job Overview:

The Sonographer II is a healthcare professional responsible for providing clinically relevant information to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Under the supervision of the Radiology management team, the Sonographer performs medical imaging in a variety of specialty areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality ultrasound exams in specialty areas to assist with accurate diagnosis and patient treatment.
  • Participate in "stand-by/on-call" rotations after regular department hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Document and generate reports using applicable computer software.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to create a supportive and efficient environment for patient care.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with computer skills and software for documentation and report generation.
  • Advanced training and experience in sonography.
  • Ability to foster collaboration with the healthcare team and maintain a professional atmosphere.
  • Punctual, consistent, and able to maintain attendance at assigned job locations.

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • Graduate of an approved Ultrasound training program.
  • Valid Oregon permanent or temporary OBMI license required upon hire.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of two specialty certifications from one of the following:
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

Experience:

  • At least one year of prior experience as a Sonographer preferred.

Certification Requirements:

  • ARDMS
  • ARRT
  • BLS
  • CCI - RCIS
