Shift: 8 HR Days Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week

Hourly Rate: $39.03 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic radiology team. The ideal candidate will perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and adhering to established protocols. This full-time role offers an 8-hour day shift schedule with a requirement for 24-hour call-back availability. The successful candidate must hold relevant certifications and be prepared to meet registry eligibility requirements within one year of hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures following approved protocols to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and capture diagnostic images for interpretation.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and communicate effectively to ensure safety and comfort throughout procedures.
  • Maintain and operate nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information.
  • Prepare detailed reports of imaging results and ensure proper documentation in the medical record system.
  • Participate in a 24-hour call-back rotation, responding to calls within a 60-minute timeframe.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with infection control, radiation safety, and health regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine or hold certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • If registry eligible upon hire, must become registered within one year of employment and maintain certification throughout employment.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear medicine equipment and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Previous experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
  • Must be available for 24-hour call-back with a 60-minute response time.
