Shift: 12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
Salary Range: $33 - $48 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 for qualified Cath Lab professionals
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Technologist to join our expanding cardiovascular team. In this full-time role, you will assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, including catheterizations, pacemaker implantations, and cardiac defibrillator placements. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with a range of procedures, including arteriograms, catheterizations, pacemaker implantations, and defibrillator placements.
- Perform pre- and post-procedure care, including patient monitoring and orientation for procedures.
- Follow radiation protection protocols for patient, staff, and self.
- Monitor ECG, pressures, and temperature during procedures, notifying the physician of any variances.
- Assist with RF/Cryo ablation systems, 3D mapping, and other advanced procedural documentation.
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure proper preparation of equipment and supplies for each procedure.
- Document procedure data, maintain quality control, and ensure inventory levels are adequate in procedure rooms.
- Train and orient new staff and students as needed.
- Participate in mutual governance, department committees, LEAN initiatives, and other quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in a related field or 2 years of cardiovascular lab experience.
- ACLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Must hold one of the following certifications:
- ARRT-R Radiography (ARRT-R)
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
- Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) through the Texas Medical Board
- Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) or Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS).
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
- Less than 1 year of Cath Lab experience required; training provided for candidates with relevant certifications.
