Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Location: Robbinsdale, MN

Shift Type: Varied (Days/Nights, 8 & 12-hour shifts)

Hours: 72 hours per 2-week pay period

Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends

On Call Requirements: Off-premise call

Hourly Range: $35.82 - $46.19 (Based on experience)

Overview:

The Certified Surgical Technologist provides critical support in the operating room, assisting surgeons and maintaining a safe, sterile environment. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, this role ensures surgical instruments are properly managed, sterile technique is followed, and patients receive safe, efficient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during operative procedures by holding retractors, cutting sutures, connecting drains, and applying dressings
• Set up and maintain sterile fields and surgical equipment
• Follow universal precautions and infection control procedures
• Manage surgical tools and ensure proper cleaning and functioning
• Respond promptly in emergency situations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and adhere to regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Certification in Surgical Technology (CST) required
• Proven understanding of surgical asepsis and sterile technique
• Effective collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to respond in high-pressure situations and follow compliance procedures
