Position: Travel Temporary Emergency Room (ER) Nurse (RN)
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Palo Alto, California
Schedule: 3 days per week, 12-hour night shifts (7:30 PM - 8 AM), including every other weekend
Job Description:
We are looking for committed and experienced Emergency Room Nurses (ER RNs) for a travel temporary assignment. The successful candidates will be adept at managing critical situations in a fast-paced environment, providing top-tier emergency care with expertise and compassion. As an ER RN, you will treat patients in emergency conditions involving trauma, injury, or severe medical issues and ensure the provision of high-quality emergency medical care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, triage, and treat patients in emergency situations, provide immediate care and evaluate the urgency of medical problems.
- Administer IVs, medications, and maintain accurate patient records through our Epic system.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to streamline patient care and emergency room operations.
- Manage telemetry and other critical care monitoring equipment to ensure patient stability.
- Support and adhere to all operational protocols and standards of the emergency department.
Requirements:
- Current California RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience including at least 2 years in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Proven expertise in IV therapy and critical care procedures.
- Proficiency in using the Epic charting system.
- Completed triage training and skilled in telemetry.
- Ability to work flexible night shifts and weekends as required.
Compensation:
- 2 to 4 years of experience: Weekly Gross: $2,675.64 ($1,718.64 taxable hourly pay + $957.00 non-taxable stipend)
- 5+ years of experience: Weekly Gross: $2,918.82 ($1,961.82 taxable hourly pay + $957.00 non-taxable stipend)
- Overtime is rarely given.
