Job Description:
The Nurse Manager will oversee the daily preparation of delivery rooms, scheduling, and team assignments, ensuring that the needs of patients and staff are met. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Post-Partum units, as well as maintaining compliance with state board and nursing division standards. Additionally, you will oversee financial objectives, manage nursing staff, and ensure the operation of medical equipment. This role also involves providing patient care as needed, including circulating or scrubbing during procedures and taking administrative or staff call as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily preparation of delivery rooms and team scheduling, ensuring efficient operations.
- Ensure quality patient care by enforcing adherence to hospital standards, state regulations, and agency requirements.
- Recruit, select, and train nursing staff and auxiliary personnel.
- Achieve financial goals by preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.
- Ensure the operation of medical and administrative equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs as necessary.
- Manage nursing supplies inventory by analyzing trends and anticipating supply needs.
- Assist with patient care as needed, including circulating and scrubbing during procedures.
- Participate in call rotations, including administrative and staff call.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Nursing.
- 10+ years of experience in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Post-Partum care.
- 5+ years of leadership or directorship experience in a nursing setting.
- Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Colorado.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP required.
