Hourly Rate: $32.95 to $48.42, depending on experience and qualifications
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our imaging team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality CT images while ensuring patient safety and care. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to perform diagnostic procedures, administer contrast agents, and monitor patient conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of radiology protocols, attention to detail, and the ability to follow radiation safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain high-quality CT images by following established scanning protocols and adjusting as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety guidelines for both patient and self, utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate the CT scanner competently and ensure the proper charges are entered for each procedure.
- Provide professional and courteous patient care throughout the scanning process.
- Prepare examination rooms for CT scans and invasive procedures, ensuring cleanliness and maintaining inventory of supplies.
- Assist radiologists with administering medications, contrast agents, performing biopsies, and providing patient care as needed.
- Review each exam for technical accuracy and complete the verification process in PACS.
- Assist with PACS clean-up tasks such as unarchived images, verifications, and reporting unspecified images.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Complete and maintain personal educational requirements for continued certification.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Licensure/Certification:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification required.
- ARRT CT Technology certification required within 6 months of hire.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Preferred: One year of experience as a CT technologist.
- New graduates will be considered.
