Hourly Rate: $32 to $53
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Trauma Program Manager to join our team in overseeing trauma services and ensuring the highest level of care for patients. In this role, you will provide leadership, promote collaboration, and foster a supportive and safe environment for both staff and patients. You will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, overseeing quality improvement initiatives, managing budgets and resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment for the healthcare team.
- Promote evidence-based practices and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, and trauma care protocols.
- Oversee performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and foster teamwork.
- Provide mentorship and training for staff to support their professional growth in clinical and leadership roles.
- Manage the trauma budget and allocate resources effectively to meet department and organizational goals.
- Stay current with research and clinical practices to drive quality improvement efforts.
- Ensure a safe, caring, and compassionate environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Participate in research projects to further develop skills and improve trauma care practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Nursing.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in trauma or critical care nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Trauma Outcomes & Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN).
- Critical Care RN (CCRN), Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN), Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), or other relevant certifications.
