Hourly Rate: $45.45
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide exceptional patient care and oversee therapy interventions. The Physical Therapist will assess patient conditions, establish treatment plans, and work closely with patients and families to achieve therapy goals. This role requires leadership in supervising physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel, ensuring quality care is delivered in compliance with established standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and be a team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patient conditions to develop and revise treatment plans as necessary.
- Design individualized therapy plans based on the patient's needs and goals.
- Administer physical therapy interventions using standard techniques and procedures.
- Supervise physical therapy assistants, students, and support personnel to ensure appropriate care delivery.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on treatment goals, exercises, and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and records.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the departments goals.
- Assist with peer reviews and the selection of new team members when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned and be available for "on-call" duties when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Masters or Doctorate preferred).
- Must hold or obtain a valid license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Texas prior to hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
Qualifications:
- Masters and/or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a related field preferred.
