Job Title: Director of Cardiovascular Services

Location: Austin, TX

Shift: 12-Hour Days, 3 Shifts Per Week (36 Hours)

Salary: $140,000 - $150,000 annually

Schedule: Full-time, Days (No Weekends)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Cardiovascular Services to lead and oversee the daily operations of the Cardiovascular (CV) department. The Director will be responsible for the 24-hour supervision, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Cardiovascular staff across multiple departments, including the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Echo Lab, and Cardiac Pre/Post Procedure Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular care and leadership, ensuring the highest quality of patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24-hour leadership and oversight of the Cardiovascular department, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of CV staff, including the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Echo Lab, and Cardiac Pre/Post Procedure Department
  • Coordinate and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and department operations
  • Collaborate with other department heads and healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and patient-centered care
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Oversee department budgets, resource allocation, and staff scheduling
  • Promote professional development and provide mentoring and training opportunities for CV staff
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital safety protocols and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited university required
  • Masters degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Management preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular setting required
  • Minimum of 1 year of management experience required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Technologist with one of the following credentials: RN, RCIS, RT(R) required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
