Location: Austin, TX
Shift: 12-Hour Days, 3 Shifts Per Week (36 Hours)
Salary: $140,000 - $150,000 annually
Schedule: Full-time, Days (No Weekends)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Cardiovascular Services to lead and oversee the daily operations of the Cardiovascular (CV) department. The Director will be responsible for the 24-hour supervision, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Cardiovascular staff across multiple departments, including the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Echo Lab, and Cardiac Pre/Post Procedure Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular care and leadership, ensuring the highest quality of patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour leadership and oversight of the Cardiovascular department, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of CV staff, including the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Echo Lab, and Cardiac Pre/Post Procedure Department
- Coordinate and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and department operations
- Collaborate with other department heads and healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and patient-centered care
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Oversee department budgets, resource allocation, and staff scheduling
- Promote professional development and provide mentoring and training opportunities for CV staff
- Ensure patient and staff safety by adhering to hospital safety protocols and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited university required
- Masters degree in Nursing, Business, or Healthcare Management preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular setting required
- Minimum of 1 year of management experience required
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Technologist with one of the following credentials: RN, RCIS, RT(R) required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
