Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Location: Marble Falls, Texas

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Shifts Per Week: 3

Scheduled Hours: 36

Hourly Rate: $32 - $53 per hour

Job Overview:

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will oversee patient care, using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include assessing patients, identifying health issues, creating individualized care plans, and evaluating patient responses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, and develop care plans
  • Adjust care plans to achieve optimal outcomes and resolve any health concerns
  • Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families, managing discomfort with professionalism
  • Educate patients, families, and staff on health matters to ensure informed decision-making
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community to create comprehensive care plans
  • Delegate tasks based on patient conditions and competencies of team members, ensuring timely follow-up
  • Use problem-solving strategies to address issues for patients, families, and staff
  • Ensure safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care delivery

Skills for Success:

  • In-depth knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures
  • Familiarity with nursing laws, standards, and guidelines in your area
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, disease prevention, management, and common medications
  • Respect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong social skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling, and electronic medical documentation

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
  • Specialized field of study in nursing
  • Current and valid nursing license
  • BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
