Location: Round Rock, TX
Shift: 12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
Salary Range: $32 - $53 per hour (based on experience)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical department. As a full-time Med Surg RN on the day shift, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with the healthcare team to provide assessments, treatments, and support to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will be part of a teaching hospital and Magnet-designated facility, contributing to the high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, identify health issues, and develop personalized care plans.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans to ensure successful recovery.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care and patient safety.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, treatment plans, and health management.
- Document patient care activities and progress in electronic medical records with accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide support and mentorship to peers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current, valid RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
