Salary Range:$95,000 to $115,000 annually, depending on experience
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Critical Care Services to lead our cardiovascular and progressive care units. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care through the efficient management of daily operations, staff coordination, and compliance with healthcare standards. You will oversee both the CVICU and PCU, guiding a dedicated team to deliver excellent care while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the 12-bed CVICU and 12-bed PCU/Telemetry units
- Ensure high-quality patient care by monitoring nursing practices and holding staff accountable for clinical outcomes
- Support staff in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and accreditation standards
- Facilitate interdisciplinary care coordination and ensure appropriate clinical competencies in the unit
- Manage staffing schedules, productivity, and unit throughput, including admissions and discharges
- Lead efforts to enhance patient satisfaction and employee engagement within the units
- Manage department budgets, equipment maintenance, and supply utilization to achieve cost efficiencies
- Serve as a mentor and leader, fostering a supportive environment for both staff and patients
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent acute care CVICU leadership experience required (Manager, Supervisor, or Charge/ANM experience preferred)
- Strongly prefer candidates with 3-5 years of staff-level CVICU experience in addition to leadership experience
- CVICU experience required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of start
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of start
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of start
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 60 months of start
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Registered Nurse Diploma required
- Active RN or APRN licensure
