Location: Marble Falls, Texas
Shift: 12-Hour Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Shifts Per Week: 3
Scheduled Hours: 36
Hourly Rate: $34 - $55 per hour
Job Overview:
The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating patient care delivery using a professional nursing practice model. This includes assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, developing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient responses. The OR RN plays a key role in promoting patient safety and smooth transitions through the healthcare process by utilizing nursing knowledge and skills to prevent complications and delays. The RN also delegates tasks to healthcare personnel in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate clinical assessments and develop nursing care plans based on patient needs.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide a caring, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
- Incorporate cultural, spiritual, and social differences into care plans to meet the unique needs of patients and families.
- Advocate for the rights and concerns of patients and families while preserving confidentiality and dignity.
- Facilitate learning for patients, families, and staff members, providing education to promote health and prevent disease.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement integrated care plans.
- Use problem-solving strategies and available resources to address issues related to patient care.
- Demonstrate professionalism by participating in continued education, decision-making processes, and community service.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program or 2 years of work experience beyond the minimum qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
- 2 years of experience in nursing, with Operating Room experience preferred
