Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg

Shift Start Time: 7:00 PM

Shift End Time: 7:00 AM

Shifts Per Week: 3

Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week

Hourly Rate: $31.55 to $45.07, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Overview:

You will provide exceptional, patient-centered care, including telemetry monitoring, to a diverse patient population. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering therapeutic care to patients with cardiac, respiratory, renal, and trauma-related conditions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic care to patients being treated for trauma-related conditions, cardiac, respiratory, and renal issues.
  • Assess acute changes in patients, monitor and analyze heart rhythms, and interpret ECGs, taking action in emergency situations.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor vital signs, and communicate patient conditions using computerized documentation systems.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, providers, and specialists, to ensure quality care.
  • Coordinate patient discharge planning and participate in patient and family education.
  • Maintain cultural and diversity awareness when interacting with patients, visitors, and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or active Multistate Compact License required.
  • 1 year of recent (within the last 1-2 years) acute care RN experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Candidates with 6 months of recent acute care RN experience will be considered.
  • Will consider candidates with strong experience in skilled nursing (LTAC).
