Starting Salary:
Physical Therapist 1: $46.39 $65.70 per hour (0-30 years of experience)
Physical Therapist 2: $51.08 $67.14 per hour (5-30 years of experience)
Physical Therapist 3: $56.23 $68.61 per hour (10-30 years of experience)
Shift Differentials: Available when applicable
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide evaluation and treatment services for hospital inpatients (Acute Care), outpatients, and residents in the Long Term Care unit. The PT will deliver evidence-based care according to the professional standards of the American Physical Therapy Association. Reporting to the Director of Rehabilitation, you will work in a team-based environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide treatment for patients by referral from physicians and according to American Physical Therapy Association standards.
- Deliver comprehensive care in Acute Care, outpatient, and Long Term Care settings.
- Assist in the supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants, Long Term Care Restorative Aides, volunteers, and students.
- Maintain daily professional interactions with patients, families, other employees, and physicians, ensuring a high level of care and respect.
- Participate in the clinical direction and development of subspecialties within the Rehabilitation Department (PT 2 and PT 3 classifications).
Qualifications:
Physical Therapist 1:
- Degree from an accredited university recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- 1-2 years of experience preferred (open to new graduates).
- Current Alaska Physical Therapy license (or ability to obtain before hire).
- BLS certification required.
Physical Therapist 2:
- Degree from an accredited university recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Certification of advanced clinical competency (e.g., TDPT, OCS, SCS, GCS, FAAOMPT).
- Current Alaska Physical Therapy license (or ability to obtain before hire).
- Responsible for the clinical direction and development of one of the Rehabilitation Department subspecialties.
- BLS certification required.
Physical Therapist 3:
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Certification of advanced clinical competency in two subspecialties (e.g., TDPT, OCS, SCS, GCS, FAAOMPT).
- Current Alaska Physical Therapy license (or ability to obtain before hire).
- Responsible for the clinical direction and development of two Rehabilitation Department subspecialties.
- BLS certification required.
