Salary: $76,000.00 to $91,000.00
Job Overview:
This Registered Nurse (RN) position functions within the Outpatient Department, assisting patients and medical staff in providing quality care and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. The RN will maintain competency, complete mandatory training, adhere to infection control procedures, and ensure a clean, safe working environment. The role involves working with providers, managing clinic staff, and overseeing clinic operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with standards.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical services and assist providers and clinic staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Lead and direct clinic staff, overseeing front desk and patient care operations.
- Maintain medication inventory and supplies.
- Perform quality control checks for Point of Care tests.
- Document all care and services accurately and in a timely manner.
- Oversee clinic opening and closing procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate patient care.
- Provide leadership and anticipate the needs of providers and staff.
Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required:
- Current unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or another U.S. state. (Must apply for an Alaska nursing license before start date if Direct Hire).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
- 6 months of addiction services experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Nursing processes and procedures.
- Safety and infection control principles.
- Customer service standards.
Skilled in:
- Performing assessments and specimen collection.
- Using computers and medical equipment.
- Communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to:
- Multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with team members and staff.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Teach others when appropriate.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
