Weekend Requirements: 1 full weekend of call per month
On Call Requirements: 5-7 days per month
Salary Range: $27.84 - $45.46/hour (based on education and experience
Job Description:
The General Surgery Circulator RN is an integral part of the surgical team, demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills. Nurses in this role are responsible for planning, preparing, and providing individualized peri-operative care using the nursing process. They also direct the surgical department staff in the care of surgical patients and are responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
We provide an extensive 16-week orientation with a dedicated preceptor, allowing nurses to gain proficiency in circulating cases across all of our service lines. The ACC OR performs a wide range of procedures including general surgery, robotics, neuro, plastics, colorectal, and urology. This is a rewarding position for nurses looking to expand their surgical expertise and provide excellent care, one patient at a time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other health professionals
- Conduct patient assessments and analyze assessment data
- Establish patient goals and plan care strategy
- Set priorities of care, implement care, and evaluate responses to interventions
- Provide safe direct and indirect nursing care
- Delegate tasks safely
- Perform additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills beyond basic nursing preparation
- Care for patients of all ages (infant to geriatric)
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
- Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) Preferred
- Operating Room (OR) RN experience Required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required
- Active Oklahoma nursing license Required
