Location: Round Rock, Texas

Department: Catheter Lab

Shift/Status: Full Time, 36 hrs/wk

Schedule: 12 HR Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Minimum Rate Per Hour: $34

Maximum Rate Per Hour: $55

Job Summary:

As the Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor in the Cath Lab, you will oversee nursing staff and unit operations, ensuring positive outcomes for patients and staff. You will work closely with the Nursing Manager to plan, develop, and evaluate policies, manage budgets and resources, and lead quality improvement initiatives. Your role also involves organizing educational programs, providing hands-on nursing care as needed, and meeting departmental and organizational goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Create a positive work environment that supports evidence-based practice and research, leading to better patient care.
  • Collaborate with a diverse healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Implement and guide practice changes through quality improvement initiatives rooted in evidence-based practices and research findings.
  • Provide a therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff, and coordinate patient care conferences.
  • Promote inclusivity by responding to diverse personal differences and fostering a supportive work environment.
  • Advocate on behalf of nursing staff to represent the concerns of patients, families, and staff.
  • Support professional growth by facilitating the development of clinical and leadership skills among staff members.
  • Partner with colleagues to ensure safe, quality care and participate in programs aimed at improving patient outcomes.
  • Systematically allocate resources efficiently and follow up on issues affecting patients and staff.
  • Uphold professional standards by enhancing nursing practice and the work environment through joint governance and decision-making.

What Will Make You Successful In The Role:

  • In-depth knowledge of nursing practices and patient care standards.
  • Awareness of healthcare regulations and standards set by certification and accreditation entities.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to provide and evaluate patient-focused care.
  • Competence in resource management and task assignment.
  • Basic computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical records management systems.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree in Nursing
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of practical nursing experience is desirable
  • Certifications:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Must be obtained within 30 days of hire
  • RN License (Registered Nurse)
