Position Title: Outpatient Nursing Services Manager (OPNS)

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts

On-call Requirement: As needed

Desired Start Date: ASAP (Onboarding process 5-8 weeks)

Salary Range: $100,880 - $115,003 annually, based on experience

Job Overview:

A Level IV trauma center and a leader in healthcare in southeastern Utah, is seeking a motivated Outpatient Nursing Services Manager. This vital role involves managing a small team and overseeing the outpatient nursing programs, including Oncology, Infusion, and Wound Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality control, compliance, program financials, and clinical oversight, as well as providing on-call administrative support across the hospital.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and uphold departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for outpatient services.
  • Drive patient care in outpatient settings while enhancing internal and external provider relationships and increasing department referrals.
  • Manage and train OPNS staff, ensuring up-to-date practices in Oncology, Infusion, and Wound Care nursing.
  • Oversee prior authorization processes and departmental billing and coding.
  • Develop patient and family education on care plans and post-discharge procedures.
  • Conduct financial oversight including managing monthly financials and annual budgeting.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to manage additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Oncology Nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
  • Valid RN license in the State of Utah.
  • Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ONS.
  • Preferred: Certified Wound Care Nurse, Infusion Certification.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and programs in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, capable of leading a team and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and tact.
