Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care/Telemetry

Location: College Station, TX

Shift:12-hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Shifts Per Week: 3

Scheduled Hours: 36 hours per week

Salary: Hourly Rate $32 - $53

Sign-On Bonus: Now offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for RNs with 2+ years of experience.

Job Overview:

As a Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care/Telemetry Unit, you will be responsible for overseeing patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team. Your role involves conducting patient assessments, developing care plans, and monitoring patient responses to treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Assessments: Conduct detailed assessments of patients to prioritize care needs and develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Care Planning: Create, implement, and evaluate care plans, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired patient outcomes.
  • Patient and Family Engagement: Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families, providing emotional support and managing discomfort.
  • Education: Educate patients, families, and colleagues about health issues and care plans to empower informed healthcare choices.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate patient care plans, delegating tasks appropriately.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize effective problem-solving strategies to address challenges in patient care, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Teamwork and Growth: Contribute to a collaborative work environment, recognizing team contributions and supporting the professional development of peers.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a specialization in nursing.
  • Current and valid nursing license.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of starting.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of nursing standards, procedures, and hospital protocols.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical documentation.
