Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Women's Services
Location: Brenham, TX
Shift: 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
Salary Range: $32 - $53 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 sign-on bonus for RNs with 2+ years of experience
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our Women's Services department, which includes antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and couplet care. In this full-time night shift role, you will guide the nursing team, ensure high standards of patient care, and create a positive experience for new mothers and their families. As a charge nurse, you will coordinate patient care activities, support your team, and ensure the safe and effective delivery of care in this family-centered unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate patient care in the Women's Services unit, ensuring the safety and comfort of mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
- Lead and support the nursing staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and ensuring adherence to best practices and protocols.
- Perform detailed patient assessments, develop care plans, and adjust treatment strategies as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Ensure the proper functioning of the unit, including staff scheduling, resource management, and patient flow.
- Promote education and confidence-building for new mothers through couplet care, ensuring that newborns and mothers receive care together.
- Ensure that all nursing care meets regulatory standards and follows evidence-based practices.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Women's Services, including labor and delivery, postpartum, or couplet care.
- Current and valid RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
