Hours: 80 Hours Per Pay Period

Hourly Range: $20.00 - $26.00 (based on years of experience)

Salary Range: $41,600 - $54,080

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to support the smooth operation of patient care in a clinical setting. The Medical Assistant will manage patient flow, assist providers with clinical tasks, and ensure patients receive individualized care based on their needs, ranging from infants to geriatrics. This role requires collaboration with healthcare providers and administrative staff to meet patient care goals and maintain efficient clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing patient flow throughout the clinic by performing rooming processes, administering immunizations and injections, and dispensing medications as directed by the provider.
  • Perform laboratory specimen collection and basic laboratory tests.
  • Provide telephone support and facilitate communication between patients and providers.
  • Assist with prescription refills and perform x-ray duties (if x-ray operator certification is passed).
  • Perform phlebotomy and assist with prior authorizations.
  • Provide front desk/check-in support, order supplies, and help with clinic administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Medical Assistant Program: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • Certification: Medical Assistant certification required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting required. X-ray operator certification or willingness to take the exam is required based on clinic needs.
  • BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
