Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical

Location: Waco, TX

Shift: 12 HR Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Shifts Per Week: 3

Scheduled Hours: 36 Hours

Hourly Rate: $32 - $53 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical unit. As an RN, you will oversee patient care, assess health needs, develop care plans, and evaluate patient responses. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality care and maintain strong relationships with patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Conduct thorough clinical assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress. Adjust care plans as needed to achieve desired patient outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care and communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Education: Provide patient and family education to empower informed healthcare decisions and promote health and wellness.
  • Delegation: Assign tasks to the healthcare team based on skills and patient needs while ensuring proper follow-up.
  • Problem-Solving: Use critical thinking and safety prioritization to address patient care challenges in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to professional nursing standards and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
  • Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a medical-surgical setting is preferred but not required.
