Hourly Rate: $31.67 to $47.50, depending on experience and qualifications
Job Overview:
As an IV PICC Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering both direct and indirect nursing care to patients requiring Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) lines. This includes comprehensive care, patient monitoring, and supervision of assigned personnel. You will be expected to possess an in-depth understanding of department and hospital policies related to the delivery of nursing care. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role, as is the ability to manage information retrieval and coordination with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect total nursing care to patients requiring PICC lines.
- Supervise and guide assigned personnel to ensure patient care standards are met.
- Retrieve, communicate, and present relevant patient information in written, auditory, or visual formats.
- Adhere to hospital and department policies, demonstrating expert knowledge in PICC line procedures.
- Utilize advanced nursing and management skills to ensure patient care is delivered at the highest standards.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
- PICC Certification mandatory (PICC certificate must be submitted with application).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of PICC acute care experience required.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
