Job Title: Surgical Tech
Location: Peoria, IL
Salary: Up to $29.00/hour
Shift: Full-time | Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM | No nights, weekends, or major holidays

Job Overview:

A multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center is seeking two experienced Surgical Techs to support a variety of surgical services. Certification is not required. Candidates must be skilled in sterile technique, surgical prep, and intraoperative support, with a strong commitment to patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and sterile instrument setups for scheduled surgeries
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and managing inventory
• Clean and restock ORs and handle instrument sterilization according to protocol
• Demonstrate competency in fewer than five surgical services (with cross-training expected)
• Recognize patient reactions and report to clinical staff as appropriate
• Follow AORN and AST standards and maintain strict aseptic technique
• Support the surgical team under the direction of the Clinical Director

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Tech - Required
• Completion of a Surgical Tech program - Preferred
• Strong understanding of sterile/aseptic technique and OR protocols
• Ability to care for patients from 6 months to adult
• Team-oriented with excellent communication and organization skills
