Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Student - PRN
Location: Grapevine, Texas
Hourly Pay Rate: $33/hour
Shift: Variable Shift, 8, 10, or 12 hours per day
Scheduled Hours: 50 hours per week, 5 shifts per week
Job Overview:
The Radiologic Technologist Student works under the general supervision of a certified Radiology Technologist, assisting with patient care and performing radiology exams. This role supports technologists and nurses during imaging procedures and medical exams, ensuring quality care and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The Radiologic Technologist Student also assists with inventory management, supply storage, and preparing imaging rooms for the next patient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares patients for imaging exams, easing anxieties by explaining the procedures and answering any questions.
- Assists technologists, nurses, and physicians with procedures and maintains patient and staff confidentiality.
- Operates and maintains imaging equipment safely, following established policies and procedures.
- Ensures a clean and organized work environment to enhance patient care and safety.
- Monitors patient conditions during procedures and seeks appropriate assistance when needed.
- Verifies requisitions, patient charts, and orders, ensuring correct documentation and labeling.
- Assists with maintaining an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Ensures individuals are safe to enter the department by following screening policies.

- Proficiency in administering first aid and using emergency carts when necessary.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued education and staying current on best practices for patient care.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Experience: Less than 1 year of related experience.
- Certifications/License:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
