Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

Location: Plano, Texas

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Shifts Per Week: 3

Scheduled Hours: 36

Hourly Rate: $32 - $53 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated RN with a minimum of 2 years of oncology experience to join the Surgical Oncology team in Plano, Texas. The RN will provide care to patients in a 32-bed unit focused on medical and surgical oncology, plastic surgery, microvascular surgery, and palliative care. The ideal candidate must be Chemo certified and passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, conduct assessments, and create individualized care plans for oncology patients.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and safety throughout treatment.
  • Administer chemotherapy and biotherapies to patients, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, providing emotional support and education.
  • Participate in the ongoing evaluation of nursing practices, making adjustments to care plans as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program.
  • Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience.
  • Chemo certified.
  • Current and valid nursing license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
