Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Austin, TX

Shift: Variable shifts, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift (40 hours per week)

Salary Range: Up to $44 per hour (based on experience)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this full-time role, you will perform high-quality ultrasound procedures and provide essential diagnostic services to patients. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care while adhering to safety standards and established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures according to exam protocols in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring they are comfortable.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by positioning them correctly and adjusting equipment as necessary.
  • Follow proper safety and infection-control protocols during all procedures.
  • Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly.
  • Document patient medical imaging records accurately and maintain records in accordance with department policies.
  • Collaborate with engineers and management to ensure optimal operational capabilities of ultrasound equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies and ensure the cleanliness of the work area.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Registered in one or more of the following certifications:
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) - OB/GYN, Abdomen, Breast, Musculoskeletal, or Registered Vascular Tech (RVT)
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Sonography or Breast Sonography
  • Cardio Credentialing International (CCI) - Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS)
  • Strong understanding of ultrasound imaging techniques and protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
