Job Title: Physical Therapist

Location: Brattleboro, VT

Shift Type: Days

Shift Options: 4-10 hour days or 5-8 hour days

Weekend Requirements: 1 Saturday every 7-8 weeks

Salary Range: $41/hour - $45/hour

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating a patient's physical condition, designing, and implementing a corrective treatment plan according to physical therapy principles and practices. The role requires ongoing assessment of patient progress and modification of goals and treatment plans as necessary. The Physical Therapist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals and maintain accurate and timely medical and business records. Supervisory responsibilities include overseeing the clinical activities of Physical Therapy Assistants and mentoring at least one affiliating student per year. Additional duties include participation in departmental quality improvement initiatives, community outreach, and program development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients physical conditions and design individualized treatment plans
  • Implement corrective therapy techniques and continuously assess patient progress
  • Modify treatment plans and goals as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Supervise the clinical activities of Physical Therapy Assistants and mentor students
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and community outreach programs

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program Preferred
  • Previous experience in acute care Preferred (entry-level acceptable)
  • Vermont State License Required (temporary license acceptable upon entry)
  • CPR Certification Required
  • At least 2 recent supervisory references Required
