Job Title: Supervisor - Food and Nutrition

Location: Norman, Oklahoma

Shift Type: Days

Shift Times: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday - Friday)

Salary Range: $49,483 - $80,828 annually (based on education and experience)

Job Overview:

Supervisor - Food and Nutrition Department, ensuring that high-quality nutrition care is provided to both patients and guests. This position is responsible for supervising the clinical nutrition team, overseeing the diet office/call center, and collaborating with medical staff to deliver evidence-based nutrition care. The supervisor will lead performance improvement projects, provide training, and serve as a preceptor for Dietetic Interns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the clinical nutrition team in delivering evidence-based nutrition care.
  • Supervise the clinical nutrition team and diet office/call center operations.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to provide comprehensive nutrition care for patients.
  • Drive clinical nutrition performance improvement projects within the department.
  • Provide nutrition education and training to team members and other health system staff.
  • Serve as a preceptor for Dietetic Interns.
  • Act as a Super User for nutrition software systems to ensure proper usage and functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of a BS degree program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, leading to registration as a Registered Dietitian.
  • Registration: Must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and hold an Oklahoma State Dietitian license.
  • Experience:
  • Two years of clinical experience in an acute care facility.
  • Previous experience in a clinical diet office or previous supervisory experience at a clinical diet office is required.
  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of subspecialty areas such as nutrition support, diabetes, cardiology, renal, oncology, etc.
  • Other Requirements: Must obtain a food handlers permit from the Cleveland County Health Department before hire (or within one week of hire).
