Job Overview:
The Food and Nutrition Department provides high-quality nutrition care to both patients and guests. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the Food & Nutrition Services department, ensuring excellence in patient services, retail services, catering, and in-patient clinical services across the health system. This role involves leading teams, implementing process improvement projects, and supporting innovative culinary solutions focused on patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the Food & Nutrition Services department, ensuring quality services in patient care, retail, and catering
- Serve as the subject matter expert in nutrition and lead process improvement initiatives
- Plan and execute patient-centered nutrition projects
- Assist the Director in implementing strategic plans aligned with the health system's mission, vision, and values
- Provide expert nutritional care and assessment for patients in coordination with clinical teams
Qualifications:
- Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Oklahoma State licensure (must achieve registration within the first 6 months of eligibility or hire date) Required
- Must obtain a food handler's permit from Cleveland County Health Department before hire (or within one week of hire) Required
- Six months of clinical experience in an acute care facility Preferred
- Knowledge of different formulas for assessing patients' nutritional needs Required
