Shift End Time: 07:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $32 - $53 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Charge for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Round Rock, Texas. Job Summary

The Registered Nurse Charge in the NICU is responsible for overseeing patient care, ensuring compliance with nursing standards, and aligning with the organizations mission to provide compassionate and effective care. This role involves evaluating patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, developing personalized care plans, and continuously assessing patient responses to treatments. The RN Charge will lead the nursing team in delivering high-quality care, fostering a supportive environment, and driving clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize nursing judgment and clinical reasoning to perform thorough health assessments in alignment with established standards.
  • Oversee and evaluate nursing procedures, implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrate caring practices by addressing both emotional and physical discomfort, fostering healing, and minimizing distress.
  • Lead and mentor the nursing team, ensuring that patient care is delivered with compassion, precision, and in accordance with best practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to each patients unique needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and effective care environment.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a NICU or similar clinical setting.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
