Job Title: Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Tyler, Texas

Shift: 12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 3 shifts per week, 36 hours total)

Hourly Pay Rate: Up to $41.78/hour

Job Overview:

The Physical Therapist will evaluate and assess patients' physical therapy needs, developing and implementing treatment plans to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. This position is ideal for an experienced therapist who can work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role requires strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills to guide patients through their therapy journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients' physical therapy needs based on medical record review, tests, and assessments to develop personalized care plans.
  • Formulate measurable functional goals and treatment plans for patients, reassessing as needed based on progress or changes in condition.
  • Provide treatment according to the established goals and document progress in the patients medical record.
  • Instruct and educate patients and families on therapy exercises and home programs, using both verbal and written methods.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accurate in compliance with healthcare policies and regulations.
  • Stay current with best practices in physical therapy by attending continuing education and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy degree program (Masters).
  • Experience: At least one year of clinical experience preferred. Must be customer-friendly, have strong verbal/written communication skills, and be able to handle multiple tasks with strong time management skills.
  • Certification/Licensure:
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in Texas.
  • CPR certification.
  • Compliance: Comply with all regulatory requirements, guidelines, and healthcare policies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be in good health and able to physically complete a fitness assessment.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent and prolonged bending, stooping, crouching, walking, pushing, pulling, and standing.
