Job Title: Ambulatory Clinical Nurse Manager

Location: New London, NH

Shift: Day Shift | Monday -  Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Overview:

A community healthcare provider is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee clinical operations and staff development within its outpatient ambulatory setting. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, this leader will ensure the quality of patient care, optimize workflow efficiencies, and uphold regulatory standards in coordination with Primary Care Operations and Nursing Leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Operations:

  • Directly supervise and manage RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and other clinical staff.
  • Oversee scheduling, time-off approvals, and payroll for direct reports.
  • Provide clinical onboarding, mentorship, and oversight for all new hires.
  • Maintain clinical competence and presence on the floor to support staff and provide care as needed.
  • Act as a resource during emergencies and participate in emergency preparedness efforts.
  • Serve as a "super user" for the EMR system.
  • Collaborate with leadership to standardize clinical workflows and review/update policies.

Leadership & Staff Development:

  • Role model professional nursing behavior and practice per NH Nurse Practice Act.
  • Support the growth of ambulatory nursing leadership and clinical competencies.
  • Drive continued education and staff engagement in professional development activities.
  • Build collaborative relationships across hospital departments and leadership teams.
  • Contribute to performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Participate in operational planning and nurse leader initiatives with system-wide impact.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure Rural Health Center (RHC) survey readiness and compliance.
  • Partner with leadership to implement performance improvement indicators.
  • Champion evidence-based practices and quality initiatives.
  • Support a culture of excellence in patient care and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in the State of New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Proven leadership in ambulatory or outpatient clinical settings
  • Experience managing clinical teams and operations preferred
  • Strong understanding of EMR systems and regulatory readiness
  • Skilled in interdisciplinary collaboration and team development
