Job Title: Inpatient Pharmacist

Location: Mattoon, IL

Schedule: Night Shift | 7 days on, 7 days off | 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Typically Monday-Monday)

Compensation: $99,112 - $153,628 (based on experience)

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for a 2-year commitment

Position Summary:

A hospital in central Illinois is seeking a Night Shift Inpatient Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care, ensure safe and cost-effective drug use, and serve as a key resource for clinical staff. This full-time position follows a 7-on/7-off rotation, allowing for extended time off while maintaining full-time compensation and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret, prepare, verify, and dispense medications and IVs
• Monitor therapies for allergies, drug interactions, and appropriateness
• Provide medication counseling to patients and drug information to physicians and nurses
• Perform admixtures (IVs, irrigations, TPN, chemotherapy) and pharmacokinetics services
• Conduct quality assurance, clinical interventions, and antibiotic stewardship
• Supervise technicians and participate in their training
• Conduct Pyxis and nursing station inspections
• Ensure proper control and documentation of controlled substances
• Enforce drug formulary compliance
• Participate in performance improvement and pharmacy-related initiatives

Requirements:

• Must be a licensed Pharmacist in Illinois (or eligible for licensure)
• Experience in a hospital/inpatient setting preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work independently at night
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility (required)
