Job Title: Mental Health Coordinator

Schedule: 2nd shift, 8-hour shifts including weekdays and weekends
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possibility to extend)
Guaranteed Hours: 40/week
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,875.00


Job Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Coordinator (MHC) for a full-time contract assignment in a correctional facility located in California City, CA. The MHC will be responsible for providing non-medical, clinical mental health services to an incarcerated population. Candidates must be comfortable working in secure environments and must meet both state licensure and federal clearance requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mental health screenings and assessments through record review and clinical interviews
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on evaluations
  • Deliver counseling services, mental health interventions, and crisis response
  • Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in patient records
  • Apply psychological counseling theories and techniques appropriate for a correctional setting
  • Ensure continuity of care and collaborate with other healthcare and facility staff


Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related clinical field
  • Active, unrestricted LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license in California
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including 2 years in a comparable role
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for ICE clearance)
  • ICE Clearance Screening Form required for submission
  • Must reside 70+ miles away from the facility
  • Must be able to start within 2 weeks
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid drivers license preferred unless required by contract or statute
  • Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays
  • No RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed during the assignment


Preferred:

  • Experience in correctional or forensic mental health environments
  • Active AHA BLS certification
