Hours/Day: 8-hour shifts

Shift Notes: 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM with rotating on-call weekends and holidays

Hourly Rate: $29.00 - $30.00 with shift differential after 3 PM

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist provides on-site diagnostic services, including portable X-ray and EKG services, to nursing homes, healthcare facilities, and other miscellaneous locations. The technologist will perform imaging procedures, ensuring clinically diagnostic and technically competent images, while maintaining professional interactions with patients, staff, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and process X-rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment.
  • Transmit X-ray images to a Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Perform EKGs as required and transmit results to a Cardiologist for interpretation.
  • Maintain and scan relevant paperwork, billing documents, and protocols on a daily basis.
  • Unload and transport portable X-ray equipment to various facilities and obtain diagnostic images as ordered by the physician.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of vehicle and X-ray equipment.
  • Communicate efficiently and interact professionally with peers, management, and clients.
  • Ensure that all safety guidelines and radiation protection standards are followed.

Physical Demands:

The job requires lifting and transporting equipment that can weigh between 50-100 lbs. The use of ramps and pulleys helps decrease the weight, but pushing and pulling may still require significant physical effort, up to 50 lbs of force, which can occur multiple times a day. Certification Requirements:

  • ARRT
  • Valid West Virginia State License (Limited License not accepted)
