Job Description:

As a licensed Paramedic, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care by triaging patients, assisting with invasive procedures, administering medications, and ensuring that patient care standards are met in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care in the emergency department following established policies and within scope of practice.
  • Admit patients, assess needs, identify problems, and implement emergency care plans.
  • Carry out physician orders, administer medications, and manage IV solutions.
  • Monitor patient conditions and vital signs, record observations, and notify physicians of any adverse findings.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatment and examinations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of records for continuity of patient care.
  • Respond to all situations based on hospital standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
  • Assist with the teaching of personnel regarding new techniques and policy changes.
  • Knowledgeable in EMS, Paramedic, and Registered Nurse scopes of care.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required prior to hire.
  • Recommended ITLS certification within 6 months of hire.
  • IV certification required upon hire.
  • Knowledge of emergency medical theory, practices, and techniques.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and manual dexterity for performing various medical procedures.
  • Physical agility to respond quickly to unexpected safety issues and assist with patient transfers.

Shift Information:

  • Full-time positions available.
  • Shift differentials:
  • Weekend Days: +$4.00/hr
  • Weekend Nights: +$5.00/hr
  • Grave Shift: +$4.00/hr
