Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for performing patient evaluations, developing customized treatment plans, and providing high-quality care to help patients achieve their therapeutic goals. The role also involves providing direction and clinical supervision to support staff and promoting occupational therapy services within the organization and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assess patients physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and implement appropriate therapy interventions aimed at improving patients' ability to perform daily tasks.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Provide clinical supervision and direction to clinical support staff, ensuring the highest level of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic interventions, techniques, and adaptive equipment.
- Promote and advocate for occupational therapy services within the organization and the wider community.
- Ensure that all services provided adhere to the standards set by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Kansas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous occupational therapy experience preferred but not required.
