Shifts Per Week: 4
Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $33 - $48 per hour
Job Overview:
As a Multimodality Technologist, you will perform high-quality imaging procedures across multiple modalities, ensuring safety, accuracy, and patient comfort. You will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care. This role includes preparing patients, operating diagnostic imaging equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform multimodality imaging procedures per protocol in a timely manner, adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Effectively communicate with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort using AIDET techniques.
- Properly position patients and adjust equipment for accurate imaging results.
- Maintain equipment and workspaces, ensuring cleanliness and operational standards.
- Document procedures, maintain medical imaging records, and report any issues to the appropriate department.
- Follow safety protocols, including infection control and radiation protection.
- Provide training and guidance to new team members as a preceptor.
- Take call shifts as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Imaging Program.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in multimodality imaging preferred.
- Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or within 30 days of hire).
- Must be licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) in Texas.
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in two imaging modalities. Accepted certifications include ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, ARRT-MR, ARRT-S, RDMS, CNMT, or RVT.
