Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Wound Care

Location: Round Rock, TX

Shift: 10-Hour Days, 4 Shifts Per Week (40 Hours)

Shift Times: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $32.00 - $53.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing care for patients with wound and ostomy needs. This role will involve developing and evaluating care plans, providing emergency care when necessary, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience in a clinic setting focused on adult care with chronic medical conditions. This is a full-time, daytime position with a great opportunity to work at a teaching hospital with Magnet designation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with wound and ostomy care needs
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans based on patient conditions
  • Provide emergency care as needed, recognizing signs and symptoms of critical conditions
  • Administer treatments and interventions in accordance with wound care protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to optimize patient care
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure patient safety
  • Provide patient and family education on wound care and ostomy management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
  • Wound Care Certification from an accredited course required
  • Strong understanding of wound and ostomy care principles and practices
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and computer skills
