Shift: Mid-Shift/Evening Shift, 3 Shifts Per Week (36 Hours)
Shift Duration: 12 Hours
Hourly Rate: $32.00 - $53.00 per hour
Job overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team for the mid-shift or evening shift. As an RN in the Emergency Department (ED), you will provide care to a diverse patient population, addressing a wide range of medical conditions from minor ailments to life-threatening emergencies. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the ED, triaging and managing a variety of medical conditions
- Document patient care and progress, ensuring all records are up to date and accurate
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by physicians
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on patient needs
- Maintain patient safety, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and best practices
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with advances in emergency care practices
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in emergency care preferred
