Role Overview:
Join our healthcare team as an Endoscopy Technician with our client, a leader in providing support to surgical teams in hospitals. In this critical role, you will ensure the meticulous sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments, playing a pivotal part in maintaining high standards of infection control and assisting surgical teams in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the OR team, focusing on the cleaning, sterilizing, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Guarantee that all surgical instruments and trays are properly sterilized and ready for use in procedures.
- Uphold strict sterile practices to safeguard patient safety and enhance procedure efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with surgical staff, nurses, and other members of the sterile processing team to deliver exemplary support.
- Manage the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments.
- Address and report any issues with instrument functionality or equipment malfunctions.
- Comply with all hospital policies and standards pertaining to sterile processing and infection control.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required; additional technical training or education preferred.
- Must have a Provisional CRCST or obtain full CRCST certification within 120 days of employment.
- Previous experience in a sterile processing or surgical setting preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and sterile processing operations essential.
- Flexible scheduling availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- COVID vaccination requirement according to current healthcare guidelines.

Compensation:
- Starting at $20.60 hourly, with potential to increase to $23.00 hourly post 120-day evaluation based on performance and certification status.
- The rate for any candidate with 2 or more years of SPD Tech, Surgical Tech, Anesthesia Tech, OR Support experience will be calculated above the stated base rate.
