Schedule: Night shift
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Weekly Gross Pay: $1,633.00

Job Overview:
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a correctional facility in California City, CA. This role is ideal for professionals comfortable working in a secure setting, performing clinical procedures, supervising support staff, and delivering both emergency and routine care to inmates.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and execute provider treatment orders
• Conduct assessments and triage for sick/injured inmates
  
• Assist in medical examinations and emergency procedures
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed staff on shift
  
• Document all patient care and nursing activities thoroughly
• Maintain secure handling of medical supplies and medications
  
• Monitor inpatient hospitalizations and recommend early releases when appropriate
• Conduct health counseling and education when needed
• Participate in audits, chart reviews, and safety compliance
  
• Escort inmates for medical care within and outside the facility
• Adhere to all facility, pharmacy, and correctional regulations
  

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Active and unrestricted California RN license
  
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with a Social Security card for ICE clearance
• Must reside 70+ miles away from the facility
• Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays
  
• Valid drivers license required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
  
• No RTO allowed during contract period

Preferred:

• 1+ year of professional RN experience
• Correctional, ER, or institutional healthcare experience
  
• AHA BLS Certification
