Pay Range: $24.26 – $36.29 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
Job Overview
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) to join a collaborative imaging team in Brunswick, Georgia. This position is ideal for a technologist who is passionate about patient care, produces high-quality diagnostic images, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, ensure patient safety, maintain imaging quality standards, and work closely with physicians and clinical staff to support timely and accurate diagnoses.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established department protocols.
- Position patients appropriately and operate imaging equipment safely to obtain high-quality images.
- Explain procedures to patients and provide compassionate care throughout the imaging process.
- Verify patient identity, review imaging orders, and obtain relevant medical history.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and HIPAA regulations.
- Accurately document procedures, patient information, and required billing charges.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to department leadership.
- Maintain competency and complete required continuing education and department training requirements.
- Assist with patient transport and departmental workflow as needed.
Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Experience
- One to two years of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
Licensure & Certifications
- ARRT Certification in Radiography (ARRT-R) required within 12 months of hire.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong radiographic imaging and patient positioning skills.
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and imaging best practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical terminology.
